Why don’t the coordinates in TPE agree with Google Earth?

Likely because Google Earth defaults to showing Degrees, Minutes and Seconds, and TPE uses decimal coordinates.

For example, 40° 30ʹ 30ʺ (as you might see in Google Earth) is equivalent to 40.508333° in TPE. The conversion is: 40 + (30/60) + (30/(60*60)).
