In certain locations, the satellite imagery may disappear at high zoom levels on Google Maps. For certain areas, Google does not have sufficient imagery to support high zoom levels from the overhead angle. If this is the case, you will see a warning on the map tiles.
However, if there is insufficient imagery at the 45° angle view there is no warning displayed, so it appears broken. Google automatically enables this view at a certain zoom levels. Disable the 45° imagery, will allow you to view the map overhead angle.
